CTA GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENTS (9/23-27)

CHARACTER EDUCATION FOCUS: CARING (KINDNESS)

OCTOBER CHARGER KIDS CLUB: October schedule and tuition are due Fri., Sept. 27. Forms and payment can be dropped off to Student Services or to a Kid’s Club After School team member. 

NATIONAL HONOR SOCIETY: We will have a quick meeting right after school next Wed., Sept. 25. We will be discussing our new volunteer sheets, our induction ceremony, and scheduling our future meetings. Please contact Ms. Rose with any questions (trose@ctachargers.org).  

HIGH SCHOOL FIELD TRIP:  High school students will be visiting the Gerald R. Ford Museum to participate in their “Unlock the Character Code” program. In this program, students will tour the museum looking for information to solve their clues. Each answer opens a padlock on the team’s locked box. Students will be gone from school from 9 a.m. -  2p.m. on the day of their field trip. Freshman and sophomores will be visiting the museum on Sept. 30. Juniors and seniors will be visiting on October 18th. Students will need to bring a packed lunch on the day they will be going to the museum. If students cannot bring one, please let your student’s FIT teacher know as soon as possible so we can ask our kitchen staff to prepare one for your student. 

MOBILE DENTIST: Mobile Dentist forms will be coming home in the next week.  The Mobile Dentist will be here on Oct 1.

YEARBOOK CLUB: Are you in middle or high school and interested in helping create our 2019-2020 yearbook? Yearbook Club will be meeting every other Wednesday from 2:50 - 3:05 p.m. in Ms. Rose’s room. Our first meeting will be October 2nd. If you have questions, please contact Ms. Rose (trose@ctachargers.org). 

CAREER EXPLORATION FOR GRADES 7-12

Kent ISD Career Readiness Events for Students & Parents

TALK & TOUR CAREER SERIES - Designed for students in grades 7-12, these free career exploration events are like getting 5 job shadows in one!  Students & parents can hear directly from a panel of professionals, ask career questions, and tour the employer’s workspace.  Space is limited. Over 20 different career fields & industries will be featured over the course of the school year. Information and registration.
