PROM: Prom time!  Prom will be held April 24th at Boulder Creek.  7pm - 11pm. Tickets are $40 and include dinner! Tickets go on sale Tuesday, April 14th. Any questions, please call Mrs. Atkins in the office.  

SUMMER EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY:  Bud’s Turf in Cedar Springs is looking to hire a mowing and landscape maintenance crew member. Must be clean, dependable, polite and able to follow directions. Must be 16 years or older with a valid Michigan driver’s license and a clean driving record. Part to full-time position available with flexible schedule and available to work Monday through Friday after school and Saturdays beginning in March. SCHOLARSHIP INFORMATION:

MARY JANE DOCKERAY SCHOLARSHIP We are pleased to announce the Mary Jane Dockeray Scholarship sponsored by the Regional Math and Science Center at Grand Valley State University. This is a named scholarship in honor of Mary Jane Dockeray, founding curator of the Blandford Nature Center in Grand Rapids. Each year, the Mary Jane Dockeray Scholarships for Careers in Science are awarded to graduating high school seniors from public or private schools in the Kent, Muskegon, and Ottawa Intermediate School Districts with an interest in pursuing a career in science. Two $2,500 scholarships will be awarded this year to graduating seniors who plan to pursue a career in science. The application process consists of submitting the completed application form, a personal essay, a high school transcript, and two recommendations in support of the applicant. Detailed information and application forms can be obtained by contacting high school counselors within the three counties listed above or by contacting the RMSC at (616) 331-2267. CHOICE ONE SCHOLARSHIP ESSAY CONTEST: The ChoiceOne Bank Scholarship Essay Contest will run from February 27 to March 27. Seniors from ChoiceOne Bank and Lakestone Bank and Trust communities will have the opportunity to write a 500 word or less essay about one of their community service experiences and describe why they got involved, who benefited and how they benefited. It is the responsibility of the applicant to submit the application and supporting documents at choiceone.com/essaycontest/ by Friday, March 27. Supporting documents required include completion of the online application, the student’s high school transcript or GED documentation, and the first page of each prior year tax return for the parents/guardians and student.
