Good Morning! I hope all of you had a great snow day! During the month of February CTA focused on the character trait: OPTIMISM!! K-5th grade students received optimism cards when they were caught being optimistic. Each student that received a card, placed the card in an envelope and 6 students were randomly chosen to have a special lunch with Mrs. Mattson this Friday! Congrats to all our CHARGERS that were caught demonstrating OPTIMISM!! March we will focus on: WORK ETHIC and pay close attention to our behavior and choices!

Our 4th graders finished up our informational text reading unit with an Escape Room Challenge. They had four rounds of categorizing text into informational, narrative informational, or hybrid informational. After each round of correctly identifying the text, the group got a code card to unlock the chain. The final round of identifying gave them the key to unlock the box to reveal homework passes and gumballs (Their favorites!) They had an absolute blast and worked so hard to "escape the room"!
